What could possibly be better than trick-or-treating?! I know, the Zoo Boo! Trick-or-Treating at the Zoo with all your favorite animals! On Friday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., there is a half-mile trail that kids can go through to trick-or-treat. It is located in the front of the zoo. There will be all kinds of lit up carved pumpkins lining the trail that the kids will enjoy. Children can make there way through the foggy graveyard to reach the Haunted Reptile House. There will also be a games tent that will have games that you can play to win prizes, arts and crafts to do, and also the pumpkin carving! Don't forget about that! Children and adults can also enjoy the carousel net to the Zoo Boo event. Every half hour, your family can go watch "The Curse of Skull Rock" between 6 and 8 o'clock. The movie is located in the Wild Adventure Theatre.
It is located in Royal Oak, Michigan. The Detroit Zoo, also known as Detroit Zoological Park, officially opened August 1, 1928. It was the first zoo in america to ever have cage less exhibits present. One of the most popular attractions during the depression was a 4-year old chimpanzee name Jo. The chimp would perform acts for all his audiences. The audiences came to the zoo just to see this chimp. Jo ate a penny and was very sick in 1932. His audiences brought him flowers, peanuts toys... anything you could thing of. Jo died in 1934, his audience was devistated. It wasn't until 1982, when the Detroit Zoo first started charging customers for the admission into their zoo.
